How Vote plugin works
It’s extremely easy to use Vote plugin. The following instructions will take you step by step through creation of your blog post.
Step 1: Download Vote plugin here (Installation instructions can be found here)
Step 2: Login to your blog administration
Please login to your blog administration area (usually yourblog.com/wp-admin) and click Settings > Voting options. Click the button »Add A New Voting Option« to start a new rating option.
Step 3: Add Voting option information
A new window will open where you’ll be able to add or select the following options:
• Voting options name (For your evidence only – will not be shown on the website)
• Voting Display Type (with thumbs or single vote button)
• Quick Comments (enabled or disabled)
• Link (enabled or disabled)
• Micro-post title (this will be shown as title of your micro-post)
• Add photo URL (use any URL where photo is located. (Max size is 550 pix)
• Add micro-post description (write anything you micro-blog is about. Use HTML editor for advanced settings)
There are 3 micro-posts displayed by default. If you would like to add another one simply click “Add new micro post” at the bootom of the page and another one will be added to your selection.
Click SAVE to finish your Voting option settings.
Step 4: Create new blog post
Once you created new Voting option, please click Posts>Add new and do the following:
• Enter blog title
• Enter blog description
• Select Voting option you previously created from drop down menu
• Click Enable Voting option for this post
• Click Publish
Step 5: Edit or Delete Micro-posts
To edit or delete micro-posts please login to your blog administration area (usually yourblog.dom/wp-admin) > Settings>Voting options and click Edit | Delete below Voting option you would like to modify.
Step 6: Modify / Delete quick comments
To edit or delete comments please login to your blog administration area (usually yourblog.dom/wp-admin) > Settings>Quick comments and click Delete, View or Disapprove next to any comment.
